Minister convenes high-level meet
Sports Minister M Vijayakumar convened a high-level meeting on Friday to discuss various proposals to rejuvenate Kerala football after its poor showing in the recent Santosh Trophy.
Initiating the discussion, the Sports Minister himself clarified that the Kerala Football Association (KFA) would remain the umbrella organisation for the promotion of the sport in the State and the meeting was convened to see how best the Government and the Kerala State Sports Council could supplement the efforts of the KFA to help football regain its past glory.
The discussion was attended by KFA secretary KP Sunny, former internationals C.C. Jacob, Victor Manjila and U Sharaf Ali, veteran football administrator K Bodhanandan, KFA vice-president Kochueapen Mappilai, KSSC president TP Dasan and football writer Bhasi Malaparambu.
The proposals include strengthening of department and public sector teams as well as private clubs, evolving a strategy to generate more resources, revival of the now defunct all-India tournaments and taking the game to the masses.
A working group was constituted at the meeting and was asked to submit its report by July 31.

If you want to see KERALA FOOTBALL grow the main thing is that we should start a PROFESSIONAL STATE LEAGUE on home and away basis conducted in the format of I LEAGUE. Unless and until we don’t bring PROFESSIONALISM noting is not going to work. Gone are the days of tournaments.
Santhosh Trophy’s day are gone.
Start PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE. Save KERALA FOOTBALL.

As part of it, inter school football tournament was organised at U14 level at 7 out of 14 districts and out of it a new Kerala Schools league was played out. You can follow details on this at our website in this section
The coming year this has been expanded to all 14 districts.
Do keep visiting us and we will be updating on it soon in our website.

traaining sessions and coaching camps are there, boys were participating in the camps and the parents also interested. But the problem is where is the tournaments,
after coducting coaching camps we beg many tournament committees for an entry to their tournaments. everybody have much teams and nobody need new teams.
we are try to get a chance to play district league in thrissur and failed.
it is clear we lost our strength in football since 2004.
