Trivandrum crowned Kerala U-19 champions

KFA logoTrivandrum defeated Thrissur 5-4 in sudden death to clinch the 36th edition of the Kerala Inter District Junior (Under-19) Football Championship.

It was 1-1 in regulation time as Sudheeran scored the opening goal for Trivandum as early as in the fifth minute but Thrissur equalized only three minutes later through Pravin.

Earlier in the day Palakkad blanked Malappuram 3-0 to grab the third place in the championship.

The Muvattupuzha Revenue Divisional Officer T.K. Nalan gave away the Jive Trophy to winners Trivandrum along with Rs.1,001 as cash prize. While runners-up Thrissur received a trophy and also cash prize of Rs.1,001 from Kerala Football Association Secretary K.P. Sunny. Reverent Father John Mundakkal gave away the trophy for the third placed side from Palakkad.
