SAF Cup 2009: India take on Nepal on Monday

India U 23 plays Nepal in their second match in Group A of the SAFF Cup 2009 championship on Monday .The match to be played at Bangbandhu National Stadium, Dhaka, Kicks off at 6.45 PM (Local time) on Monday.

India U 23 earned full three points from their first match with a 1-0 win against Afghanistan. Nepal on the other hand managed a draw with defending champions Maldives in their opening encounter. India coach Sukhwinder Singh was happy with the result against Afganistan and expressed confidence that the players would improve in the next match and give better performance & give a good fight against other teams in group A.

India Coach Sukhvinder Singh said ” Nepal is a good side but we are capable of beating them “. India is expected to retain the same eleven that played against Afghanistan with the exception of Jagpreet Singh, who is nursing an injury suffered in the opening game and will be replaced by Maniesh Maithani.
