U 21: Thrissur dethrones Kottayam

Sanal Thomas scored twice in a 14-minute spell as Thrissur drubbed defending champion Kottayam 5-0 and entered the semifinals of the 14th Kerala State under-21 inter-district football championship at the St. George School Ground, Muthalakudam, on Tuesday.
Sanal’s goals came in the 12th and 26th minutes. Sreejith (30th), T.P. Jayan (42nd) and K. Sharath (63rd) scored the other goals.
Idukki defeated Kozhikode by Judil Varghese’s goal in the 48th minute.
