U21: Kannur in semifinals

THODUPUZHA: Kannur defeated Wynad 3-1 and entered the semifinal of the 14th Kerala State under-21 inter-district football championship at the St. George School Ground, Muthalakudam, on Wednesday evening.
M.V. Vipin (second minute), Nived (15th) and Pranav (72nd) scored for Kannur while Sajesh (49th) netted Wynad’s consolation goal. Malappuram blanked Kollam 2-0 in another quarterfinal with the goals coming from M. Saheer (8th minute) and Shabeed (75th).
