Manorama Gold Cup: KSEB defeats MES
KSEB entered Quarter final league of the B-group by defeating MES Mampad college 3-1 in Malayala Manorama Gold Cup All-India Football Tournament held at Seethi Haji floodlight stadium at Edavanna, Malappuram.
In the 7th minute of the play Noushad Pari gave KSEB the leaded the when he managed to cling on to the rebound from the MES goal keeper of his own shot.
Noushad Pari added another one to his name when the veteran dribbling past defenders Shaheel and Sherin Sam and then the goalkeeper Niyas Mon to slot it into the empty net.
KSEB captain Anil Kumar having a good name added one to his name in the 78th minute captain off Prince Paulose to kill the game off.
Things could have been worse for the college team when a half volley from KSEB striker Dhaneesh was on the way to the post but brilliantly punched out by the MES goal keeper in 80th minute
At the 89th minute of the match the consolation goal came from MES captain Jinshad who produced a splendid long ranger to beat KSEB keeper
