Kenkre FC in tour at Kerala

Kenkre Football Club from Mumbai is on a tour to Kerala with their Under-14 and Under-12 academy teams. The Team is on a 10 day trip and played Sports Education and Promotion Trust (SEPT) in two friendly matches on the  first day of their stay.

“Kenkre Football Club was founded in the year 2000 under the vision of Adib Kenkre. He started Kenkre FC with the aim of identifying, training and promoting the best football talent that India has to offer. The Club is based in the island city of Mumbai also known as the financial capital of India.”

The 30 member team has traveled to Kerala with their coach and founder Adib Kenkre. In their first match against SEPT at the EMS Stadium, Kozhikode , the team settled for a 2-2  draw. The second match of the day was suspended due to heavy rains while SEPT were in front by a single goal.

Adib, a former player of the Railways has a special liking for Kerala teams and Kerala players. He said the press that the Kenkre FC Under-19 side has no less than 7 Malayali boys in it. He has also added 3 Kerala girls in their woman’s team. Adib Kenkre praised the work of SEPT team management.

Kenkre FC will also play matches against Corporation Football Academy and Universal Soccer School teams in the coming days at Calicut.
