Josco FC and Tamil Nadu XI share points

Josco Football Club and Tamil Nadu Eleven played out an exciting 2-2 draw in the VP Sathyan Memorial Football Tournament at Chennai on Monday.

Jeribe scored the first goal of the match for the Tamil Nadu XI. But, Josco FC struck back through Aneesh in the 54th minute. He headed in a free kick which was supplied by Bijo Paul.

Josco took lead in the 69th minute. Aneesh scoring his second of the game. As the match seemed to be ending in a Josco victory, the home team was awarded a penalty kick when Josco’s Sajith handled the ball inside the area.

Tamil Nadu captain Rajesh converted the spot kick with ease earning his team a hard earned point which place them on top of Group A with 4 points alongside Chennai Customs. Josco FC and Akbar Travels have one point each from two matches.
