Five Kerala clubs in I-League Second Division

Twenty one clubs, including five from Kerala, will compete in the I-League second division that is scheduled to kick off from the middle of March, 2011.

Josco FC, Chandni FC, Eagles FC, Golden Threads FC and Malabar United will be the Kerala based clubs that will be seen in the action. Josco FC, Eagles FC and Golden Threads FC will make their debut in the I-League 2. State Bank of Travancore (SBT) and Titanium Eleven were the two teams from Kerala that failed to make it into the tournament.

The venues for the preliminary rounds is yet to be decided. The final round will be held at Shillong, Meghalaya.

The Twenty one teams for I-League second division are:

Royal Wahingdoh, Lansing Sports Club , Ar-Hima Football Club, Shillong Lajong FC (all Meghalaya), PIFA, Kenkre Football Association (both Maharashtra), Southern Samity, Techno Aryan, Mohammedan Sporting (all West Bengal), Gauhati Town Club (Assam), Vasco Sports Club, Sporting Clube-de Goa Sesa Football Academy (all Goa), Josco FC, Chandni FC, Eagles FC, Golden Threads FC, Malabar United (all Kerala), United Sikkim FC, Denzong Boys (both Sikkim) and NISA (Manipur)
