Kerala FA announce 50 probables for Nayanar Cup
Kerala Football Association (KFA) announced a 50 member probables list for the Kerala team that will participate in the 4th EK Nayanar Gold Cup 2012 which will be held in Kozhikode on March 2012. The team that will be coached by former Indian international MM Jacob will begin training at the Maharaja’s College Ground, Kochi from Monday.
This comes as a turning point for Kerala football as a senior team representing the state will play a tournament other than the Santosh Trophy Nationals for the first time in its history. The decision was taken by KFA to provide more hours for the team to gel together. “We have decided to prepare real hard for the Santosh Trophy and the only way to do it is to ready our team much in advance of the tourney,” P Anil Kumar, the KFA secretary had said.
