Shibin Lal is man of the match of the match with the goal that won Kerala the match in the last minutes of the extra time!!!

Sweet revenge from Kerala for their semi final defeat by Maharashtra in the 2005 Santosh Trophy semi final at the same ground!!

118′ – GOAL!!! Wonderful move! Initiated by Surjith with a loing ball from the defence, Interchange of passes by Usman and Shibin Lal, Shibin gets into the box and shoots!! GOAL!! KERALA clinches the match in the dying moments!!!!

63′ – A beautifully flighted free kick from NP Pradeep deep into the box, but Kerala keeper Jean Christian is upto it, comes forward and collects it with ease.

60′ – Johnson’s cross at the end of a one-two to Usman in the middle is just over his reach.

53′ – Free kick for Kerala, Johnson takes it, aimed at Kannan. Defender heads back, falls for Shibin Lal whose shot gets deflected on the way and hits the crossbar. But referee points to the  PENALTY spot……. Handball??

50′ – Kannan tries a backheel to release Usman, but Maharashtra defence covers!

49′ – Maharshtra looking more dangerous after the limebreak. Jean Christian is forced to intervene a couple of times already in the second half

46′ – Second half underway.

44′ – Pradeep tries his luck from a long range free kick. But fails to hit the target.

40 ‘ – A long ball from Surjith finds Usman, gaolkeeper advances from the line, Usman lofts the ball over keeper, but off target. CHANCE gone!

37′- Another injury blow in the game. Mohammed Rafi has to go off. He is replaced by Anas Salam up front.

34′ -Nazarudeen who replaced the injured Rahul in the starting line up today has been forced to come off due to an injury. This is Kerala’s second major injury blow in the tournament after Rakesh K who had been injured during the first match.

33′ – SUBSTITUTION: Nazarudeen C OFF; Ahammed Mallick ON

32′ – Nazarudeen seems to be in trouble as he is stretchered out of the field due to an injury to his right ankle.

We have a crowd of around 10,000 here today to witness the first semi final

26′ – Now Kerala’s Nazarudeen is the player down with a knock

23′ – Sadananda Sanjam Ben with a hopeless long ranger for Maharashtra.

19′ – Usman brought down near the box by Maharashtra, referee waves play on.

17′ – Free kick near the right corner flag for Maharashtra. NP Pradeep takes it, Mohammed Rafi connects with a header at the near post. Just wide of the goal!!!!

16′ – Surjith tries to chip the goalkeeper from 30 yards out! Goalkeeper looks to be in a little trouble as the ball lands over the goal!

14′ – Another corner now for Kerala.

12′ – Usman comes back on and directly gets into action, capitalizes on a mispass from Maharashtra defence and crosses in to the center. Maharashtra keeper parries it, ball falls for Sumesh whose shot is wide of goal!

9′ – Long throw in into the box by Surjith, headed chance for Usman. Usman goes down in pain, physio comes on!

3′ – Corner taken by Surjith, headed on goal by Sumesh. Just over

1′ – Kerala begins the match on an attacking knot. Sumesh’s cross to Usman from right is cleared for a corner.
