The 20 year old Bineesh Balan who plays as a forward for the I-league champions Churchill Brothers is a product of the Tata Football Academy (TFA), Jharkand. He has already played about 20 I-league matches, Federation Cup, Super Cup and Durand Cup and has scored and assisted a number of goals.

Bineesh started his career very early at his school days playing for Panampally Nagar School, Ernakulam and winning a lot of awards and appreciations. He represented his district Thrissur and Kerala at sub junior levels.

He made a lot of good performances at TFA after joining them in 2004. He was top scorer in the JRD Cup, Jharkand League and many more competitions and has captained the Academy. He managed to score an impressive 19 goals from 7 matches in Jharkand League for TFA.

This consistent performances led him to the Goan giants Churchill Brothers who captured him in 2009.

He has represented India in the U14 and U19 levels and has played in many major tournaments like Wales International Soccer Tournament, England and has scored against the youth teams of  Totenham Hotspurs and Airhot United.

Bineesh’s father Balan TR is a former sevens player. One of his younger brothers, Bijesh is in the Sub Junior Kerala camp.

Bineesh believes that all the success that has come to him is due to the blessings from his parents and the grace of Jesus.
