More than 2,000 schoolchildren in Kerala are expected to benefit from the province’s Vision India expansion plans over the next few months, local media has reported.
TP Dasan, Kerala State Sports Council president, told that training programmes are expected to expand into the seven remaining districts of province, covering all 14 districts by the end of the year.
If successful, it would take the total number of kids making use of the scheme to more than 4,000.
The training programmes are in accordance with AFC Vision India guidelines, which calls for the development of football skills among schoolchildren in the province.
Kerala is one of four active Vision India projects along with Delhi, Manipur and Tamil Nadu. Goa and West Bengal are also expected to join Vision India in the near future.

This is massive, if this clicks and if the govt puts in some effort in there, there is gonna a paradigm shift in kerala football.
With a good chain of govt aided schools, we can implement this programme well, even though i heard there were lot of hiccups in the initial stages.
