Siblings from Malapuram, Anees Kutty and Aseem Kutty has decided to move away from Mumbai FC. Aseem has decided to join club from the same city Mahindra United while Anees would be moving to Pune FC.
Anees used to play as left wing back while Aseem used to play at Center Back. Anees has played for Salgaocar and Mahindra United and Anees had played for Salgaocar before joining Mumbai FC last year.
Mumbai FC had a great season this year finishing 7th in the league, with equal points as East Bengal on their first appearance in the top league.
The Essel Group who owns Mumbai FC has been facing financial problems mainly due to loss from investment in an ICL cricket team, has reduced the budget which means that they cannot be very ambitious in their dealings in the transfer market and in keeping their stars.
Leading the way of departure rally was coach David Booth who is set to join Mahindra United and Manager Henry Menezes. Kalia Kulothungan and Riston Rodrigues’ has joined to Mohun Bagan.
