GVHSS, Mampad (Malapuram) won the AFC Vision India U13 Kerala School football League after St. Joseph's HSS, Calicut managed to get past Sacred Heart HSS, Thevara by a solitary goal.
Sacred Hearts could have come equal on points with Malapuram team if they had won today's match. But St. Joseph's, Calicut produced a win over Sacred Heart which pushed them to the 3rd position in the league table.
The champions Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Mampad received Rs.1,00,000 and the Chief Minister's Trophy while the runners-up St. Joseph's Boys Higher Secondary School, Calicut was awarded Rs. 50,000. Second runners-up Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Thevara received Rs. 25,000. Football kits were also distributed to all the participants of the league.
GVHSS, Mampad won 5 of their 6 fixtures while St. Joseph's HSS managed 4 wins and 1 draw.
St. John's HSS, Eraviperoor finished rock bottom in the table with just one draw from 6 matches.
