Mr. Alex SoosayMr. Alex Soosay, the AFC Acting General Secretary has marked his satisfaction for the Vision India project being carried out at Kerala. He was talking at 'Meet the press' programme of Ernakulam Press Club.

The AFC implemented Vision India project at Kerala along with 3 other states - Tamil Nadu, Manipur and Delhi - 3 years ago. Later, West Bengal and Goa were also brought under the project.

56 schools from 7 districts of Kerala are taking part in the plan with 2000 students getting benefit of the AFC's plan. The plan will be expanded in the coming years.

Alex also told that India can rise to the top of the football world by implementing long term plans with a purpose. He also requested the Sports departments and councils to provide basic facilities for all the players.

He also held talks with the Vision India Project director Imitiaz Rehman, Projrct Development Officer yogesh Desai, the KFA President KMI Mather and Secretary KP Sunny.

Soosay is an AFC veteran, having headed several key departments during his 14-year-long career. The Malaysian has played and coached at the national level and was Executive Secretary of the Negeri Sembilan Football Association before joining AFC in 1994.
