Maharashtra won their first match against Uttar Pradesh at Coimbatore with Kerala based Anas Edathodika of Kondotty finding name in the score sheet in the Cluster II match of Santosh Trophy.
Maharashtra went 1-0 up early in the match when Mumbai FC man Anas Edathodika managed to get the ball past the UP goal keeper.
The Maharashtra team maintained their advantage in the second half and produced a commanding win over the Uttar Pradesh team who has a lot of work to do to improve their performance.
The final score read 3-0.
