The cadets of the Mohun Bagan-SAIL Football Academy (MBSFA) will get a new coach in Jo Paul Ancheri.
The former India star has agreed to take charge as the new head coach of the youngster.
MBSFA, a joint venture between Mohun Bagan and the Steel Authority of India, is situated in Durgapur, West Bengal.
Ancheri started his football career back home in his home state of Kerala, while joining State Bank of Travancore (SBT) in 1992. Later he went on to play for almost all the leading football clubs in India. The list of his former clubs include the likes of Mohun Bagan AC, JCT, FC Kochin, East Bengal Club and more. He retired as a player few seasons ago.
Recently, Ancheri has taken up football coaching and was associated with the India U-13 national team as an assistant coach and manager.
Ancheri entertained football lovers in his active career as an allrounder, while feeling comfortable at almost every position on the field.
