Mahindra United’s Justin Stephen and Ernakulam’s Amrutha Arvind were presented the Kerala’s ‘Player of the Year’ awards in the men’s and women’s sections respectively here on Thursday. The Kerala Football Association awards were presented after the State association’s annual general body meeting at the Mas Auditorium.
Thiruvananthapuram’s S. Sabir (under-21), Jipson Jacob (under-19), Ernakulam’s Abhishek N. Joshi (under-16), who is in the Indian sub-junior camp in Goa, and Malappuram’s K. Anees (under-13) won the awards in the boys section.
Thiruvananthapuram’s A. Hafsath (under-19), A. Manila (under-17) and Kozhikode’s T. Nikhila bagged the awards in the girls section. The awards were presented by KFA President K.M.I. Mather, former AIFF Secretary P.P. Lakshmanan, Kerala State Sports Council Secretary K.A. Antony and other State football association officials.
The winners: Justin Stephen (Ktm, men), S. Sabir (Tvm, under-21 boys), Jipson Jacob (Tvm, under-19 boys), Abhishek N. Joshi (Ekm, under-16 boys), K. Anees (Mlp, under-13 boys).
Women: Amrutha Arvind (Ekm, women), A. Hafsath (Tvm, under-19 girls), A. Manila (Tvm, under-17 girls), T. Nikhila (Kzd, under-14 girls).
