Viva Kerala striker Sabeeth C.S. has been ruled out for two months after sustaining a knee injury in training.
The former India Under-19 player twisted his knee and will most probably miss the first phase of the I-League. This is the second time the youngster has got injured before a major event. In the previous season, just before the 2nd Division I-League, he suffered a shoulder injury while playing in the Cochin Premier League. Though he missed the first phase of the 2nd Division I-League in Cochin, he played a key role in the final phase which helped Viva Kerala book a place in the 1st Division I-League this season.
"It was a twisting of the knee and it’s not a major injury. The doctor advised me to take some rest and I will be back in action soon,” Sabeeth told IndianFootball.Com. In his absence, either Anish K. P. or Shibinlal V. K. will partner Reuben Senyo up front.
