India has been drawn into Group A of the SAFF Cup 2009 along with defending champions Maldives at the draw held at the Sheraton Hotel, Dhaka today.
The Indian group will be completed by Nepal and Afganistan, while Group B will consist of hosts Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bhutan.
Meanwhile the congress of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) will be held later in the day. The congress is expected to elect a new committee and a new president. BFF president Kazi Salahuddin is the front-runner for the presidency.
