Denson looking forward to play at Kerala

Denson Devadas will be facing a very familiar opposition when he leads Chirag United against Viva Kerala at Corporation Stadium on saturday.

Denson is an ex-Viva Kerala player and joined Kolkata's Chirag United 2 years ago. He is now the captain of the Kolkata team who are 4th in the I-League 2009-10 with 7 points from 3 games. Chirag have chances to go top of the table if they beat Viva Kerala in the away match.

But, Denson do not under estimate the Viva team. "This Viva Kerala team is a better team than the year before's. Coach Sreedharan sir has nurtured a very good team for the new season," says Denson.

He also told footballkerala that he had watched his old team's match against Mohun Bagan. "The team had a very good game and it was unlucky for them to lose," he added.

The Chirag United team reached Calicut today (21-10-09) and is preparing to face their opponents. Denson says that he expects a tough game in the weekend and winning against Viva infront of their home crowd will be very difficult.

"The crowd at Kozhikode is fantastic. I am very happy to play in my state for the first time in the I-League," Chirag captain told. He also said he will miss his team mate Dhanarajan when he plays at Kerala. Dhanarajan who did not travel with the team to his homeland, is at Kolkata nearing fitness after being injured early this season.
