Viva Kerala beats Malabar United 2-0

Viva Kerala beat Malabar United 2-0 in a friendly match organised at Kozhikode Municipal Stadium today.

Viva started with their PIO Patrick Sisupalan and Center Forward from Ghana Reuben Senyo in the frontline and started reaping benefits in second half when both of them found a place in the scorecard.

Surjith, Shibinlal, Anish KP and Sajesh played in Midfield with Karma and Sumit Thapa replacing Anish and Sajesh later on. Bello Rassaq and Charles played as usual as central defenders with Marsook and Amarwant on either side of defence.

Half time was goalless with both team playing out each other. The first goal came when Patrick headed in from a Corner. Reuben doubled the score when he was played though by some good work in midfield.

Sharath K was guarding the post for Viva and MP Sakeer was rested for the Match. Siraj was ruled out with a bruised knee and Rahul with fractured ankle.

Malabar United started their camp last week under coach Najeeb played 4-3-3 with Jaffer guarding the post with Jithesh(Malappuram), Nano (Nigeria), Vincent (Trivandrum) and Unnikrishnan (Kannur) in defence, Jacken , Sharat and Moun Gangte (Transfered this season from Golden Threads) played in midfield.

The forward lineup consisted of British born striker Wigan, and Kerala strikers Prasoon and Javed OK.
