Ernakulam defeated Kozhikode 5-3, via tiebreaker, and finished third in the State under-14 inter-district football championship on Wednesday.The teams were level 1-1 at the end of the regulation period with the goals coming from Ernakulam’s Roshan (37th minute) and Kozhikode’s Nazil Saleem (58th).
K.S. Akshay, Ruthin Alvin, Varghese Mathew and Roshan were successful for Ernakulam in the tiebreaker while only Amin Jamal and Sai Aditya were on target for Kozhikode.
