M Alex, Muhammed Sherif, Stijo S. Fernandez, Mithun Velvet and S. Melbin of the Kerala University football team were selected to the AIU coaching camp for the world university football tournament to be held in China. The camp will held in Goa. Mithun
Velvet was chosen as the best player in the All-India inter-university tournament held in Coimbatore where Kerala University finished fourth. Kerala University had won the South Zone inter-University title.
