T.K. Afsal struck twice in a two-minute spell as G.V. Raja Sports School (Thiruvananthapuram) blanked Malappuram’s MSP HSS 3-0 and entered the final of the Mar Athanasious Trophy All-India schools football tournament at the Municipal Stadium here on Monday.
Afsal’s goals came in the 47th and 49th minutes. P. Fayis scored the other goal in the 67th minute.
Earlier on Sunday, Biswajith Haldar’s hat-trick (26th, 62nd and 64th) helped Kolkata’s Lichuthala Adarsha Vidyalaya beat Government Vocational HSS (Thrikaripur) 3-0 and enter the last-four stage.
