Trials at Cochin | Reality Show in association with Chelsea FC

Trials for India's first soccer based television reality show - Super Soccer Star India - will be held across six major Indian cities including Cochin from the 2nd of May, 2010.

Image not recovered: Chelsea Super Soccer Star IndiaThe show aims to find the best young footballing talent in the country and thus provide them an ultimate chance to play for the English Premier League club Chelsea Football Club. The format of the show is fully endorsed by Chelsea  FC and is planned as a multi-series platform. Show will be aired on ESPN during the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010.

20 boys will be selected from around the country through the selection trials held from May 2 to May 18. These twenty will spend three weeks in a soccer academy. Through a series of activities, trials and playoffs, boys will be eliminated each week until the final four are left. These four players are taken to London to Chelsea FC's Training Academy in Cobham, London, where they will be assessed by the club's coaching staff.

The grand prize winner out of the four finalists, will be selected through a combination of public votes and a panel of judges. The prize is $10,000 as well as a chance at selection for a youth contract at Chelsea's Youth Academy. Celebrities are scheduled to make special appearances on Super Soccer Star during almost every episode, while home viewers stand a chance to win priceless autographed Chelsea merchandise, and other fantastic prizes from the show's sponsors.

The Chinese and Malaysian versions of the show were broadcast in the 2008-09 season and was a big hit in both the countries. Media Star Global hold the production and broadcast rights for Soccer Super Star India.Image not recovered: Chelsea

. Indian boys aged between 13 and 16 whose birth date falls between 12 July 1994 and 30 April 1997 can take part in the trials at their near by locations. All participants must bring a copy of the printout generated through the registration with their unique number on it, a birth certificate and another form of ID confirming your age and identity on the day of the trial. Participants must also be accompanied by their parent/guardian.
