Did you know that in the 1930 World Cup, Argentina and Uruguay both favored their ball to be used. The Argentina favored ball when used in the first half produced goals for Argentina and then the Uruguayan ball did the same for Uruguay in the second half. This is the story of the 1930 World Cup which was held in Uruguay.

The 1934 was held in a politically charged atmosphere by Mussolini in Italy and after winning the 1934 World Cup, the champions were provided with two trophies, one of which was the FIFA’s trophy and the other one which Mussolini had specially got made for the World Cup.
Did you know that the formations of both the teams, Czechoslovakia and Italy in the finals was 2-3-5, one of the most attack minded formations that is seldom seen on the stage today.
In France, in the 1938 World Cup, Benito Mussolini sent a telegram to the Italian National side which said “Victory or nothing”. Naturally, it seemed destined that the Italians would win and win they did
