Hosts Lakshmibai National College for Physical Education (LNCPE), Thiruvananthapuram won the SAI-LNCPE inter-collegiate football tournament held at Kariyavattom on Sunday, defeating Payyannur College, Kannur by a single goal.
The only goal in the final was scored by LNCPE's Adarsh in the 12th minute of the game. Earlier in the semi finals, LNCPE had defeated Zamorin's Guruvayurappan College, Kozhikode 3-0 while Payyannur College edged past SRM College, Chennai 5-4 in a tie breaker.
