Anil Kumar and Sabeeth in World Cup Qualifier probables list

Musli Power X-tra Viva Kerala's attacking duo Anil Kumar PK and Sabeeth CS are included in the 42 member probables list for the Indian national football team to play the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against United Arab Emirates (UAE) in July. The preparatory camp is scheduled to begin on June 15, 2011 at New Delhi.

This is the first time Anil Kumar is getting a call to the national team camp. The 27 year old striker from Thrissur was the second highest Indian goal scorer in I-League 2010-11 with 11 goals. Sabeeth has already donned the senior national team colours after making his debut in the successful AFC Challenge Cup 2012 qualifiers.

The first national team camp after the appointment of Armando Colaco saw 13 senior players being left out, including Bhaichung Bhutia, NP Pradeep, Renedy Singh, NS Manju and Mehrajuddin Wadoo. Mohammed Rafi have also been left out of the squad.

India will play their first leg of the World Cup qualifiers at Abu Dhabi  on July 23, while the home tie will be on July 28, 2011.
