Chirag United Kerala FC announced a twenty member squad for the 33rd Federation Cup that will be held at Kolkata from September 17, 2011. K Ajayan will captain the Kerala club in the tournament meanwhile Shahabaz Saleel is named as the vice-captain.
The team also includes three foreigners - Ghanaian defender Isaac Boakye, Brazilian midfielder Barbarosa da Silva Alexander (also known as Alex Carioke) and Australian forward Michael Matricciani. Charles Dzisah who has been with the team for the last couple of season will miss the Federation Cup after he failed to clear certain technical hurdles. The defender is expected to join the team when they return to Kerala from Kolkata.
Ajayan, a once regular Indian international, has captained the Mahindra United in I-League before joining Pune FC last season. Meanwhile Saleel was a former Viva Kerala player who left the club for ONGC FC after helping the team win promotion to the I-League in 2009.
Team Manager Prashanthan K informed FootballKerala.com that the team is finalizing deals to bring in five more players from various clubs before the I-League campaign kicks off.

viva or chiraq once again is on the move to do anything that the team in it's strength can do and the team of supporters in GHANA is very happy that once again the exploits of Charles has made it possible for the management of the team to have faith in another good Ghanaianin player in the name of Isaac Kwame Boakye, we wish him and all new players all the best and hope that the will have a good stay in the team. . we will like the management of team CHIRAQ to do all in it's powers to help charles clear all the technical hurdles that has made him not to join the team at the beginning of this federation cup. he will be missed very much now that Bello is no more a player of viva and we pray that the ALL MIGHTY GOD will help this twenty man squad to achieve a respectable position in this year's federation cup and the I-league this year when all hands are on deck to spin the wheels of the team to achieve world glory .long live VIVA and all the teams taking part in this cup.
