Former Viva Kerala striker, CS Sabeeth found the back of the net as Pailan Arrows and HAL SC shared a point each in their third round I-League 2011-12 clash at the Salt Lake stadium, Kolkata on Wednesday.
The developmental side was on the attack from the first whistle, but were unable to break down the defence of the Bengaluru side in the first half. After a goalless first half, Arrows could have taken the lead in the second minute of the second half, but a header from Ajay Singh hit the woodwork.
Ten minutes later, Sabeeth found his first goal of the season as he guided in the ball from a cross by Arrows captain Milan Singh. The advantage to Arrows did not last too long as Hamza Amaba scored the equalizer for HAL after receiving the ball from substitute RC Prakash.
Both the teams who lost their first couple of matches in the league garnered their first point of the season. They stay at the bottom of the table.
