AIFF - FIFASix young footballers from Kerala have been called up for the selection trials for the India under-14 national team scheduled to be held later this month at the All India Football Federation’s Regional Academy in Goa.

The group of 26 players from various parts of the country, who were scouted during the recently concluded national under-14 championships at Kalyani, West Bengal will vie for a spot in the various AIFF academies working towards creating a pool of talent for the upcoming FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017 in India. The kerala team had reached the semi finals of the under-14 nationals held late in 2013.

K Fawad (SEPT, Therattamal, Malappuram), Muhammad Ihsal (SEPT, Edarikode, Malappuram), C Rahul (SEPT, Parappur, Thrissur), Ajin Tom (SEPT, Nadavayal, Wayanad), Inayath (SEPT, Mavoor, Kozhikode) are players from various centres of Sports and Education Promotion Trust (SEPT) while Kent Joseph Masud is a trainee of Sacred Heart Football Academy in Thevara, Kochi.
