Denson Devadas from the Kannur district of Kerala might play for Bengal in this year's Santosh Trophy. Goal.com reports that Denson has been called up by the Bengal team and might join them soon. Denson plays for the Kolkata based Chirag United and has been one of the most consistent players for the team.
Denson was not included in the Santosh Trophy probables of Kerala . When a list of senior players were called up, his fellow teammate and friend Dhanarajan was included.
Denson admitted that finding a place in the Kerala squad is tough when he had to compete with the class of players like Pradeep.
Players from Kerala playing for other states in the Santosh Trophy is not new as, Viva Kerala star performer Sabeeth is playing for Tamil Nadu this season. While Sushanth Mathew has been called up to represent Kerala this time, he had played for Maharastra before as he has been with Mahindra United.
