The Kerala State U21 team has crashed out of the Dutta Ray Trophy Under 21 Tournament.
Haryana managed to get a crucial one point to their tally to 5 in the early kick off today against Punjab.
Punjab had already won their match against Meghalaya 3-2 and later scored an emphatic 6-0 victory over Kerala to book their berth for the semi finals.
Having drawn against Haryana and had lost against Punjab, Kerala needed a victory at any cost against Meghalaya and hope Punjab wins. But after Haryana's draw in the morning, Kerala's match against Meghalaya will be reduced just for pride.
Meghalaya on the other hand had lost to Punjab 2-3 after leading 1-0 and lost to Haryana by a solitary goal
Punjab and Haryana will go through to the semifnals from Group B where as Yesterday Mizoram and West Bengal qualified from Group A.
With a 4-1 victory over Bengal, 3-1 over Goa and 3-0 against Assam in Group A, Mizoram are the clear favourites in the tournament.
