U 14 Girls win

Kerala's Nikhila Thumbayil played for the India U-14 girls team that won the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) under-14 Girls' Football Festival held at Sri Lanka from April 30 to May 5.

Nikhila was the only girl to be selected from Kerala. India recieved the most number of Green Cards in the tournament-21.

The triumphant Indian contingent returned to Delhi Wednesday night from Colombo.
