Indian International from Idukki, NP Pradeep will lead Kerala for Santosh Trophy 2009. The 20 member squad was announced earlier today.
The squad consists of eight debutants for Kerala including Justine Stephen, Abdul Bhasith, Sushanth Mathew, Jacken Sebastian,Zubair, Bineesh, Shibin Lal, MP Sakeer. Sushanth Mathew had earlier represented Maharashtra in Santosh Trophy.

Worst forward line up..selectors played ugly foul play by omitting Mohd Rafi, Anilkumar, Asif Saheer, Abdul Noushad, Kannan, Kalesh, Anas (mumbai FC)Ajayan etc......
@nissar, let the selectors play foul or not. there is a good chance we can find a few more good players. mohd rafi and pals are already known all over india. but others also need chances to prove themselves. the squad itself includes 8-9 players under 25 and that itself is a great news for us.
Bineesh Balan, The Kerala forward plays for I-league Champions Churchill Brothers and has played for India U19s..
i believe this is the way forward. I am relieved to see Pradeep in there, i suppose it is time state associations give chance to the youngsters. Santosh trophy is the right platform for them!
