Sreedharan reveals a surprise

In an exclusive interview with vivakerala.net, chief coach A.M. Sreedharan revealed a surprise for all Viva Kerala fans. It seems as if a few changes to the team roster are likely to happen.

Q: What is the current condition of the team? The team has been training well for the last two months, so physically well fit except for foreign players. But as a team we could not play in an important tournament before the I-League. It was due to late joining of foreign players. Reuben Senyo and Charles Dzisah joined with our team on 12.09.09 and Bello Rasaq still has not joined. I am sure before the home matches in the I-League my team will be perfectly fit in all respects.

Q: Does that mean Bello Rasaq will replace Nana Acquaye? Yes, he will arrive here on the 21st of September. His visa issues have been resolved.

Q: What is your opinion on Patrick Sisupalan? Patrick has improved a lot after joining our team. He is our midfield general and I am sure his performance in the ensuing league will be praiseworthy. He has to adjust to the Indian climatic conditions, especially during hot seasons.

Q: What do you expect from the foreign players? Foreigners are good in my opinion and they are well built and skilled. They are decisive factors in our team's performance in I league. After their arrival our players' confidence has increased.

Q: What is your comment on the first I-League matches? In the first match against Salgoacar we have to face a tough opposition in Goa and our strategy will be not to lose in this away match.

Q: Will there be any more additions to the squad? Any how we have to include one Asian Origin player for reinforcing the team. It will be made after watching few matches and as soon as possible.
