Kerala boys demolished Uttar Pradesh by half a dozen goals in their opening fixture of the AIFF U14 Boys’ Football Festival 2009-10 at Jharkhand.
The writing was on the wall for UP from the early first half when Kerala took the lead with a neat passing move and a clinical finish from their captain Hanan Javed who has earlier represented India at the AFC U13 Football Festival held at Iran.
Mithun, Anand Murali, Rahul, K Aazil and Sajil followed up for Kerala in the 6-0 win.
The U14 boys team is under the guidance of AFC C license coach Soly Xavier. Kerala will take on Uttarakhand in their second match of the campaign.
