I am worried about the football players and the fans around Trivandrum has no proper faicilities to play or see our football in a football stadium.Though ,there are some others occupying the facilities around us(I am talking about CHANDRASHEKARAN NAIR stadium)...... What a place! How long it will continue. No one say anything against it.The newspapers,TV news.because they are the main misusers.
It can be another Golfclub.........

Sarath.s · 28 Jan 2010, 10:27

You are right Mr.Joy. They are the no.1 misusers of the stadium.
The stadium authorities also supporting them to conduct
so many programmes in the stadium because they
will get income for that. Why don't they host tournaments like G.V.Raja Cup. There are so many football fans
in kerala but Unfortunately they are not getting the chance to see matches like this.
Kerala still waiting for an I.M.Vijayan....!!

fine that the fixtures are released, but dates are not against the matches.

Chandrasekharan Nair stadium is for Film Events, i remember the day when the newly laid grass turf was inaugrated with an SBT vs Kerala Police Match. Any one seen the condition of that grass turf now. Pathetic.

sorry i dint c the events and fixtures whr today's match is shown

Titanium vs Golden Threads

the university stadium is not that bad. considering the crowd gathering to watch the match university stadium is enough for G.V. Raja Tournament. According to me the university stadium is better than Chandrashekaran nair stadim. the synthetic track adds the beauty

football kerala admins plz put day by day fixture of gv raja trophy.

Mohan · 1 Feb 2010, 16:47

Hi .. even after making many requests and calls to the committee.. they havn't sent received the fixtures. We are trying our best to coordinate things but sadly not everything are in our hands.

We need some help from Trivandrum as we are short of people to coordinate things from that area. So it would be great if someone from TVM can help us

ചെലക്കാണ്ട് പോടാ · 2 Feb 2010, 14:25

I am from Tvm. I will try to help u.(not guaranteed, as i dont know when i can be free from work)

It s sad n painful to see the great events like G.V Raja football cup in university stadium instead of Chandrasekaranar. Keeping the money or something else in mind the stadium authorities made mistakes.

And a request to the G.V Raja cup organisers is pls publish the fitchers of the tournament and give updates properly so that it wil agravate the enthusiasm of the football fans.

Personally i feel, it not a bad choice to use University stadium, considering the present ground condition of Chandrasekharan nair stadium.

The play field is damaged by use for TV awards and other non-sporting functions.

On saturdays and sundays tvm crowds gathered in numbers than i expected.

Great post... keep it coming! I only wish there were more websites like this.

I was an invited guest at the recent G> Raja compt in Trivandrum and had a great time, some good games but the facilities are terrible and its a bad advert for Keralan football; however the organisers did a good job.
