Malabar United received a thumping defeat in the hands of Vasco SC Goa as the Goan team scored four goals against the Kerala side despite the rain pouring down at the KSFA Stadium, Bangalore.
Joy Ferrao scored a brace before Koko Sakibo put the ball into the back of the net from the penalty spot in the 75th minute. The final nail in the coffin came in the added time as the fourth goal.
The match was played under the showers for long time and the match was stopped twenty minutes into the second half as heavy rain along with strong wind swept the ground. The match was resumed after the rain, but Malabar conceded two more goals before the match ended.
In the early kick off today, Mohammedan Sporting and Oil India played out a 1-1 draw. Amritpal ingh scored for the Kolkata side in the 21st minute, which was cancelled out by Zaidin Hamar’s strike in the seventieth.
