The State Bank of Travancore football team has strengthened their team after they brought in five new players, including Viva Kerala forward Shibin Lal VK, who could significantly shape their new season!
The Bank signed the five players which includes the duo of N Johnson and BT Sarath who played for them in the last season as guest players. The newly included names include Viva Kerala's Shibin Lal, Vasco Goa's Sumesh and HAL's Chetan Kumar.
The players were selected from the twenty three contenders who appeared for the selection trials held earlier this month at Thiruvananthapuram. The newbies will join the team in the coming month as the Bankmen will take part in the Navy Football Tournament at Kochi next month.
The new acquisitions will help to fill in the pieces left by the players who left the team at the end of the last season. Sajith, Sreekumar and Mohammed Shafi were among the players who moved away from SBT.
