Kerala state women's football team who are participating in the 19th Senior National Women’s Football Championship 2010-11 at Bhilai, Chattisgarh began their campaign on a good note as they thrashed Rajasthan and Maharashtra in their first two matches of Cluster VIII.
Kerala, captained by Jibisha C, opened their campaign in style by demolishing a Rajasthan side 13-0 on May 3, 2011. In the second match of the cluster, they faced Maharashtra on Thursday and came up with a 3-0 victory over their opponents.
In the last group match, Kerala will now play Chandigarh on Saturday.
