Malabar United came back from behind to score a late winner against Golden Threads in a crucial encounter at the KSFA Stadium, Bengaluru.

Both the teams ended the first half with scoreline 0-0. Both the teams could have taken lead in the half, but none could conver their chances in to goals.

Golden Threads took the lead in the 64th minute through their in from striker Sanjay Vennara, but the lead lasted only for 5 minutes as Malabar United struck back through Asif K in the 7oth minute.

The game seemed to be closing towards a draw before Jacken Sebastian gave Malabar United fresh air through the winner just a minute before the 90th.

Meanwhile in Group B, DSA League Champion Hindustan FC and New Delhi Heroes FC registered victories over their respective opponents at Ambedkar stadium here today.

Hindustan FC came from behind to beat Simla Young’s FC 4-2, after leading 2-1 at interval. Simla Young’s open scores 1-0 in the 12th minute through Gamlung Kamei of a combined move initiated by Nigerian Ugo and Manoj Chowdhury.

In the 15th minute Hindustan missed a golden chance to equalize score when there striker Musibau wasted a penalty kick awarded by the match referee when he was brought down by the rivals defender Jaktdu inside the box. In the 25th minute Musibau equalized 1-1 and increased the lead 2-1 in the 33rd minute. Simla Young’s Ugo equalized 2-2 in the 77th minute of a penalty kick. Hindustan’s Tuishim Mashangva increased the score 3-2 of a fine lob from the top of the box of a cross from Monu Chowdhury. Musibau complete the tally 4-2 in 93rd minute.

Hidustan collected 7 points from 5 matches and keeps their hopes alive for final round qualification. While Simla young’s have 4 points 4 matches.

In the earlier match of the day New Delhi Heroes scored a 6-1 fluent victory over Amity United FC Haryana. The highlight of this match was a fine 3 goal scoring by Nigerian striker Charles who scored 1st goal (2nd minute);3rd and 5th goal (15th and 88th minute resp).Another Nigerian recruit Baba Tunde scored 2 goals 2nd and 4th (18th and 50th minute) Captain Bhuvan Joshi scored 5th goal in 82nd minute. Amity United Nigerian recruit Monday Ugbuji reduced margin 1-5 in 88th minute.

New Delhi heroes have also collected 7 points from 5 matches while Amity United has 6 points from 4 matches.

In Group C, NISA overcame the challenge from Oil India with a brace from Jimmy Singh. In the other match of the group held at Digboi, Denzong Boys and Gauhati Town Club played out a draw.
