In the second match of the preliminaries of Coca Cola Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy held at Madhya Pradesh, Kerala under 16 team lost to Karnataka 3-1.
Kerala had won their first match against Pondicherry 13-0, but failed to capitalize on the excellent start to the tournament. With this win, Karnataka tops the group with 6 points from two matches. Kerala are in the third spot behind Andhra Pradesh who will take on Tamil Nadu on October 26, 2010 in their second match. Pondicherry are placed at the bottom of the group with a goal difference of minus 24.
Kerala's next opponents are Andhra Pradesh on October 28, 2010.
