Kerala's hopes of making it into the knock out stages of the sub junior national football championship for Coca Cola Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy suffered a big blow as Andhra Pradesh edged past Kerala in a closely contested 2-1 victory.
Kerala had earlier defeated Pondicherry, but lost out to Karnataka in the second match. The team had to win their third match to have ant hope of progressing.
Kerala will now face Tamil Nadu in their last match of the tournament.
