The selection trials for the state women's football team that will participate in the 19th Senior Women's Football Championship will be held on April 23, 2011 at the Mar Thoma College Ground, Thiruvalla.
Players who had participated in the State Women's Football Championship at Thodupuzha will be given preference. Women footballers interested to attend selections must report at the college ground at 10:00 AM on Saturday, said KP Sunny, secretary of the Kerala Football Association (KFA).
19th Senior Women's National Football Championship 2010-11 will be held at Bhilai, Chhattisgarh from April 25 to May 17, 2011. Kerala are drawn to Cluster VIII alongside Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Maharashtra. Manipur are the reigning champions having defeated arch rivals Orissa 1-0 in the finals of the 18th edition of the tournament.
