Calicut FC beat Thiruvananthapuram Kombans 2–0 in opener
Prasanth Karuthadathkuni Mohan and a penalty from Maximiliano Nicolas Urruti Mussa gave Calicut FC a 2–0 win over Kombans in their Super League Kerala opener.
Calicut FC began their Super League Kerala 2026 season with a 2–0 win over Thiruvananthapuram Kombans at EMS Corporation Stadium, Kozhikode, on Saturday.
Prasanth Karuthadathkuni Mohan gave Calicut the lead in the 23rd minute. Maximiliano Nicolás Urruti Mussa added a goal from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time (45+3), which sealed the 2–0 win before half-time.
The result gave Calicut three points to go level on points with defending champions Kannur Warriors, who also began the new season with a win.
Calicut host Malappuram FC at the same ground on Friday, 2 October. Kombans are at home to Kannur Warriors FC at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, on Sunday, 4 October.
