Forca Kochi beat Thrissur Magic on penalties

Forca Kochi won a penalty shootout 4–1 after a 0–0 draw against 10-man Thrissur Magic at Corporation Stadium.

Forca Kochi beat Thrissur Magic FC 4–1 in a penalty shootout in the Super League Kerala on Thursday, 1 October after a goalless draw in regulation time at the Corporation Stadium, Thrissur.

In the game which kicked off after a 30-minute delay because of thunderstorms, Thrissur were reduced to 10 players in the 23rd minute, when Bladimir Angulo Castro was shown a red card.

In the shootout, Kochi scored four of their penalties and Thrissur one, giving the visitors the win and two points.

Kochi now have five points from two matches, following a 1–0 home win over Malappuram FC on 27 September.

Thrissur, who open their account with the one point, are fourth after two games, having lost 1–0 away to Kannur Warriors FC on 25 September.

Kochi's next match is away to Kannur Warriors at Jawahar Municipal Stadium, Kannur, on Friday, 9 October. Thrissur are at home to Calicut FC at Corporation Stadium on Saturday, 10 October.
