GKFC to face Aakraman SC in Governor’s Gold Cup semi-final

Gokulam Kerala FC are set to face Aakraman SC Sikkim in the semi-final of the 42nd All India Governor’s Gold Cup at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok, with kick-off scheduled for 5:00 PM.

The Malabarians have won both their matches in the tournament so far, defeating Thunderbolt North United 4–1 and Sudeva Delhi FC 2–1 to secure their place in the last four.

Brazilian striker Victor Matheus has been instrumental in GKFC’s campaign, scoring three goals across the two matches.

The team has also shown attacking intent and encouraging cohesion under new head coach Carlos Eduardo Parreira, with contributions from multiple players. Aakraman SC Sikkim enter the semi-final after defeating East Bengal 2–1 in their previous match and will pose a strong challenge on home turf.

With the Indian Football League (IFL) 2026–27 season approaching, a place in the final and a potential Governor’s Gold Cup title would provide a significant boost to GKFC’s preparations and confidence. The Malabarians will look to maintain their momentum and deliver another strong performance as they aim to progress in the tournament.

The semi-final will be played at 5:00 PM at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok, and will be live on No.10 Sports.
